Elease is originally from Nebraska, where she graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln before moving to Kansas City to continue her education at Rockhurst University, earning a Master of Occupational Therapy degree. Since then, she has worked in the pediatric outpatient setting, gaining experience with a diverse client population across a range of ages and abilities.
Elease is a dedicated mentor and lifelong learner, with continuing education in play-based engagement, child development, regulation, and parent coaching. Her training includes Learning Without Tears for handwriting, the STAR PROCESS (Regulation, Relationship, and Sensory Processing), the SOS Approach to Feeding, DIR Floortime, and the Toddler Play Conference. She is deeply passionate about play-based services and believes in the power of joy and connection in fostering developmental progress. She has also provided parent education within the Playabilities’ community, supporting families with practical tools and understanding.
