Sky earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Dakota and her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Nebraska. She has experience across school-based, medical, outpatient, and rehabilitation settings, supporting children, adolescents, and adults with diverse communication needs. Her undergraduate work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, along with her experience as a Direct Support Professional, shaped her strong passion for advocacy, relationship-based care, and honoring individual communication styles.
Sky has a strong interest in the counseling and social-emotional side of speech-language pathology and continues to learn how mental health and trauma impact communication, particularly in children and young adults. She also has experience with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, including learning American Sign Language and providing therapy for individuals with hearing loss. Her clinical background includes working with autism spectrum disorder, apraxia, learning and auditory processing challenges, IEP implementation, AAC and language development, and improving speech clarity.
