If you are unsure about your child’s ability to participate in these programs without support, your therapist is happy to help! Many of these programs will allow our therapists to support in the transition of your child into their program, if needed! Little Gym KC Summer Camp
Day camp at The Little Gym is the perfect choice for long, hot summers and other breaks from school when you want your child to stay active, safe, and happy. The Little Gym combines fun physical activities and games with plenty of time to laugh and play with friends. Each week has a new theme so your child will never tire of camp at The Little Gym.

KC Zoo Summer Camp
KC Zoo summer camp curriculums are designed to be age appropriate and are properly chaperoned at all times. Activities may include, but are not limited to: educational games, physical games like tag, crafts, on grounds tours, zoo shows, zoo rides, playgrounds, science experiments, and educational movies.

Camp SOAR
SOAR Special Needs offers a week-long summer day camp for all individuals with special needs. SOAR offers camp in-person at 2 locations in the KC area from 9:00am-4:00pm Monday- Friday. Campers will participate in a variety of activities during the day: crafts, outdoor games, sensory activities, story time, calming worship, missions, and more!

The J Summer Camp
Campers at J Camp participate in a variety of activities: sports, crafts, games, archery, swimming, Waterama, slides, and enjoying a Splash Pad area. Youth who attend J camp learn new skills, increase their knowledge, and make friends! J camp is a fun and inclusive environment. Campers of all faiths and cultures are welcome.

Camp WIN (Women’s Intersport Network) is the flagship youth event for girls aged 6-12. The camp’s primary objective is to empower girls by providing them with exposure to 16 diverse sports and fitness activities over a span of four days. The camp fosters a safe and supportive environment to encourage girls’ participation and growth

CHAMPS
Challenges Handled And Mastered with Perseverance and Spunk (CHAMPS) Achievers is a community organization teaching martial arts and self-defense to children and adults having special needs. Students of all ages and abilities are guided through physical and mental disciplines that also address growing self-esteem, self-control, and empathy for others.
Joshua Center Summer Camps
The Joshua Center for Neurological Disorders is a vital resource for both children and adults who live with Tourette Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, ADHD and other associated neurological disorders. Campers are taught acceptance of everyone and to treat each other with respect no matter the differences. Staff model this behavior every day, showing their campers what it means to include everyone and be part of a diverse world.

Sensory friendly Mondays at Johnson County Muesum
Come enjoy the Johnson County Museum and KidScape in a comfortable, low-sensory environment. This limited-occupancy session is designed specifically for children with sensory processing differences and Autism Spectrum Disorders, and their families. We welcome visitors of all abilities and museum experience. We also welcome hand fidgets, comfort items, weighted blankets and vests, and mobility devices.

Stage Right summer camps are the way for your young star to have a blast and SHINE! Girls Night Out
The Girls Night Out (GNO) program is to empower girls and women with and without disabilities in Kansas City and surrounding communities towards optimal social-emotional health and improved quality of life. The curriculum focuses on three areas: relationship building, self-care skills (e.g., personal hygiene, positive emotional and behavioral practices), and promoting self-determination and individual autonomy. The initiative includes direct services such as 12-week targeted skills intervention groups as well as single-session community events. So far, GNO is the only intervention program designed specifically to address the unique social and self-care needs of adolescent females with autism.

Skill Building Series and Programming for Adults:
Down Syndrome Innovations offer weekly, complimentary/free programming for adults to learn essential new skills, while also gaining important social skills by interacting among their peers. Down Syndrome Innovations programming is a great way to make new friends, gain independence, enjoy movement and physical activity, and best of all, have fun! Each quarter, they have a different theme, such as preparing for employment, kitchen skills, living a healthy lifestyle, and more!

The mission of Camp Encourage is to provide youth on the autism spectrum meaningful experiences in which they build the knowledge, courage, and skills to be empowered participants in the community. Camp Encourage camps take place at Heartland Center in Parkville, MO. Each camp session includes both traditional camp activities and activities tailored to individual needs.

Camp Barnabas
Camp Barnabas is a ministry in Southwest Missouri dedicated to providing a unique Christian summer camp experience to individuals with disabilities and chronic illnesses. It’s a summer full of waterslides, fishing, canoeing, archery, ziplining, swimming, mini-golf, and so much more. We want our Campers to have a summer just like everyone else because, for most of the year, our Campers are on the outside
Overnight Camp- Ages 6+
Camp NUHOP
Located in southern Ashland County, Ohio, Nuhop’s inclusive programs are open to all individuals 6 – 29, with a focus on those living with ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, mood disorders, and other neurodiversities.
Camp Nuhop provides a structured environment where all campers have the opportunity to make friends and feel good about themselves. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and dynamic learning environment where children are empowered to succeed. Campers are placed with an understanding staff who incorporate self-awareness and social skills in a safe, fun environment.
