Lexi received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, both from the University of Kansas. During graduate school, Lexi worked as a Graduate Research Assistant under a grant where she researched effective methods of vocabulary learning through story book reading for Kindergarten-aged children with Developmental Language Disorders. She also completed a Master’s thesis which developed a short-term intensive summer program that provided treatment to preschool-aged children who had articulation delays. In 2020, Lexi was awarded the University of Kansas Outstanding Speech-Language-Hearing Student Clinician award and the Jacob Rockwell Osman Award which was awarded to the graduate student who demonstrated outstanding work with pediatric speech and language clients.
