Maddie holds a Master’s degree from Wichita State University in Speech-Language Pathology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Child, Adult, and Family Services from Iowa State University. At Wichita State, Maddie had experiences working with pediatrics through geriatrics. During her clinical work, she developed a passion for working with children who have speech and language disorders. During the school year, Maddie works at an elementary school serving children in preschool through fifth grade. At the schools, Maddie has had experiences working with children with a variety of disabilities and disorders such as autism, fluency, dyslexia, phonological and articulation disorders, language learning disabilities, apraxia, Down syndrome, ADHD, ADD, and a variety of AAC devices.
In her free time, you will find her with friends and family, cooking, or cheering on her favorite sports teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Iowa State Cyclones. Maddie and her husband are also heavily involved with the soccer community in the Overland Park and Olathe areas and spend a lot of their free time at the soccer field cheering on Kansas Rush and Olathe East soccer.
