Taffeta grew up in the Springfield, Missouri area and moved to Kansas City to complete her education at the University of Kansas Medical Center, earning her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. Taffeta joined the Playabilites team in 2016 and provides therapy at Prairie Village and Leawood clinics.
Taffeta has experiences with local infant and toddler services, community outreach programs for children with special needs, and coaching swimming lessons for children with autism spectrum disorders. In April of 2017, Taffeta completed the Advanced Level I Mentorship training at the STAR Institute for Sensory Processing Disorder in Denver, Colorado, and specializes in evaluating and treating children with Sensory Processing Disorders. She also specializes in assessing and treating infants and toddlers, teaching sensory strategies and regulation skills, advancing social and emotional development, and promoting independence through play for kids of all ages.
