Cheryl earned her Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Missouri–Columbia and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Illinois University. She brings over 30 years of experience as an occupational therapist, supporting clients across a wide range of clinical settings.
Cheryl has worked extensively in pediatric and skilled nursing environments, providing evaluations and reassessments, developing plans of care, educating caregivers, and recommending adaptive equipment. Her pediatric experience includes working with children from birth through 18 years of age across early intervention, public schools, outpatient clinics, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, and private practice settings in Missouri, Illinois, and Kentucky. She is certified in Sensory Integration and incorporates play-based and neurodevelopmental approaches to support fine motor, sensory, and social skill development.
She currently provides occupational therapy services at Playabilities and also serves as an independent contractor with Missouri First Steps. In addition to her occupational therapy background, Cheryl has experience working as a registered nurse in a fast-paced pediatric clinic. This additional clinical perspective strengthens her collaborative, client-centered approach and allows her to support children and families with a strong focus on safety, communication, and continuity of care.
Cheryl is passionate about partnering with families and interdisciplinary teams to promote meaningful outcomes across home, school, and clinical environments.
