Our summer sessions are skill-based, therapist-led camps designed to support real developmental growth in a small group setting. They are not 1:1 therapy visits. Instead, they are structured, play-based group experiences led by licensed pediatric therapists that target meaningful skills through engaging themes like food exploration, movement, sensory play, music, emotional regulation, and more. Think of it as purposeful fun with a clinical brain behind it.

Camp Frequently Asked Questions
Each camp is designed around a specific focus area, so they are a great fit for children who would benefit from targeted support in that theme. Some groups focus on food exploration and feeding skills, some on movement and coordination, some on sensory processing, music, emotional regulation, or social engagement. If your child could benefit from growth in that area, this is likely a strong fit. We welcome children with and without diagnoses, and we intentionally create supportive, neuroaffirming environments where every child is respected and celebrated.
Each camp session follows a thoughtful rhythm to help children feel safe and successful. We begin with a warm welcome and regulation activity, then move into structured skill-building activities tied to the camp theme. Children rotate through engaging activities, participate in collaborative group experiences, and have built-in regulation breaks as needed. We close with a consistent ending routine to reinforce success and predictability. The goal is growth through repetition, play, and peer connection.
Most camps include up to 6 to 8 children, depending on the theme. Each group is supported by two licensed pediatric therapists plus an aide. Our Music and Movement group also includes a pediatric music therapist. We also require a minimum enrollment for each group to ensure a rich and dynamic experience. Small groups allow for meaningful attention, individualized support, and strong peer modeling.
No. Camps are open to current clients, former clients, and community families. No evaluation is required to participate. If you believe your child would benefit from the focus of a particular group, we would love to have them join us.
Skills vary by camp theme, but all groups focus on functional, real-life gains. Depending on the camp, children may work on expanding food variety, improving motor coordination and strength, strengthening emotional regulation, increasing social interaction and peer confidence, improving communication, or enhancing self-expression through music and movement. These skills are embedded in engaging, theme-based activities so children are learning while they play.
Because each camp runs as a cohesive series with limited spots and therapist staffing planned in advance, we are unable to offer refunds or make-up sessions for missed days. We know that can be disappointing, and we truly appreciate your understanding. Holding spots, staffing appropriately, and maintaining small group sizes allows us to deliver a high-quality experience for every child enrolled.
Group-based learning offers unique advantages. Children practice flexibility, peer interaction, and regulation in a shared environment that mirrors real-world settings. They learn by watching others, taking turns, problem solving socially, and adapting in the moment. When sessions occur consistently over several weeks, growth compounds. Many children make meaningful gains in confidence, independence, and skill generalization because they are practicing repeatedly in a supportive and structured space.
Just come ready to have a great time. Comfortable clothing for movement is encouraged. We provide all materials needed for each camp session.
