Katie earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center and her Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Psychology from Fort Hays State University. Through her clinical experiences in outpatient, school-based, and home settings, Katie has worked with children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, emotional regulation challenges, developmental delays, and other neurodevelopmental needs.
Katie is passionate about providing neuro-affirming, play-based, and family-centered care that helps children build confidence, independence, emotional regulation, and meaningful participation in everyday life. She especially enjoys creating engaging interventions that meet each child where they are while fostering connection, joy, and growth. During her doctoral capstone experience, Katie further explored the role of occupational therapy in supporting student mental health through teacher education and student groups. She previously completed a Level II Fieldwork placement at Playabilities and is excited to return as an Occupational Therapist to continue supporting children and families through meaningful, relationship-centered care.
