Rachel earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Kansas and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Latin American Studies. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Communication Science and Disorders at Florida State University. Rachel brings diverse experience across school-based, home-based, private practice, research, and higher education settings. She has supported children with a wide range of communication needs and has also served as a university instructor, teaching courses in communication development, research evaluation, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), while mentoring graduate students in clinical and research skill development.
She has a strong foundation in language and literacy development, AAC implementation, culturally and linguistically responsive services, and assessment of bilingual children. Rachel prioritizes family-centered, play-based therapy and values collaboration with caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to support meaningful, functional communication outcomes for every child.
