Gabi Gutiérrez SLP-CFY

Pediatric and Adolescent Speech and Language Pathologist-PRN

Gabi earned her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Indiana University and her bachelor’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Spanish, with a minor in Human Development and Family Science, from Kansas State University. During her graduate studies at Indiana University, she participated in the Speech Therapy Education, Practicum, and Services (STEPS) program, which prepares clinicians to provide speech-language services for Spanish-speaking children and to effectively support their families. Gabi has experience evaluating and treating a wide range of communication challenges, including language disorders, articulation, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency, and pragmatic language disorders. She also has a strong foundation in working with individuals who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

Gabi is known for her warm, welcoming, and play-based approach to therapy, focused on building meaningful communication skills while honoring each child’s unique strengths and interests. She values close family collaboration and partners with caregivers throughout the therapy process to support growth beyond sessions. Gabi strives to create a supportive environment where children feel confident, motivated, and connected as they develop their communication skills.

Gabi grew up outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota, but Kansas City is her new home! Outside of work Gabi enjoys spending time with family & friends, being active outside, and baking.
