Occupational Therapy Careers at Playabilities

Playabilities has been a meaningful part of both my professional and personal life for nearly 9 years. I was given the flexibility to grow as a therapist while also being present for my family, which is something I’ll always be grateful for. What sets Playabilities apart is its commitment to truly client-specific care. I was challenged to move beyond a standard model and make recommendations based on each child and family, and seeing those outcomes changed how I practice and what I believe is possible. Even more meaningful, after seeing that impact firsthand, my own family chose Playabilities for our children’s therapy.

You guys are a literal dream team, and I am SO happy and proud to be part of such a wonderful team. Having a job where I have FOMO on my days off is truly a dream job.

Compared to my previous experiences in a variety of physical therapy settings during my rotations, Playabilities stands out for its collaborative, “village” approach to care. Every therapist brings a unique perspective, and we actively support one another to create the best outcomes for each child. That level of teamwork, combined with an environment that values both excellence and joy, is something I haven’t seen anywhere else. My favorite part is getting to be creative and meet each child exactly where they are, turning therapy into something they (hopefully) look forward to. The team’s energy and willingness to work together make it easy to grow as a new clinician while feeling supported. Watching kids gain confidence and independence, and knowing I’m part of their journey, is the most rewarding aspect of my role.

Playabilities truly feels like a close-knit team. I’m so grateful for my coworkers and mentors and the support they give me every day. Everyone is always willing to share ideas, offer guidance, or step in when needed, which makes such a positive difference in both my work and my confidence as a therapist. Being surrounded by people who are encouraging, collaborative, and passionate about what they do makes Playabilities a place where I feel supported, valued, and excited to grow. My favorite part of being an occupational therapist at Playabilities is the teamwork and the joy you feel throughout the clinic. I love seeing creative, child-led interventions in action, and knowing that every hour, every day is an opportunity to meet each child where they’re at through meaningful play. I’m proud to be part of a team that truly cares and genuinely loves what we do.

I decided to become a pediatric physical therapist because I wanted to help kiddos accomplish any dream they set their minds to, no matter the challenges in front of them. At Playabilities, I get to live that purpose every day. I’m surrounded by such a supportive, like-minded team that truly values collaboration—we challenge each other to grow, celebrate each other’s wins, and always put our patients first. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a place that prioritizes holistic, compassionate care while making therapy fun and meaningful for every child we work with.
