Karina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Missouri and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Rockhurst University. She has experience working with clients across the lifespan in school, outpatient, and private practice settings.

Karina’s clinical passion is in feeding and oral motor therapy. She is SOS Approach to Feeding trained and has completed extensive continuing education in feeding and oral motor development. She has years of experience supporting children with a variety of feeding needs, including infant feeding, picky eating, pediatric oral motor skill development, and sensory-based feeding challenges, and incorporates oral motor-based treatment approaches such as Oral Placement Therapy.

In addition to feeding, Karina has experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, and complex communication needs, including AAC users. She has a strong interest in supporting autistic children’s language development and tailors her approach to each child’s unique communication style and strengths. She also supports children with articulation and phonological disorders, particularly when underlying oral motor patterns impact speech sound production, and integrates motor-based principles to support accurate, efficient, and lasting speech outcomes.

Karina is a play-based therapist who believes children learn best through connection, engagement, and meaningful interactions. She takes a collaborative, family-centered approach and is passionate about helping families feel confident and supported in everyday routines.
