Pediatric and Adolescent Speech and Language Pathologist
Makaley earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Missouri. She has experience assessing and treating communication as well as feeding and swallowing disorders across diverse populations and diagnoses. She brings a strong foundation in play-based therapy, AAC, early intervention, sensory integration and regulation, and neurodiversity-affirming care.
She is skilled in developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and has experience leading AAC device trials to identify effective communication systems for patients and families. Makaley builds strong, trusting relationships with patients and families and collaborates closely with interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams to support meaningful progress, functional communication, and overall quality of life.
